160+ Best Gifts for Cosplayers: The Ultimate Edition (2023)
By Skywing Knights // November 11, 2023
The holidays are here! And of course, we all have some special someone we are shopping for. But what if your special someone is a cosplayer? What do you get them? Fabric? Wigs? What are the best gifts for cosplayers?
Well…. That’s where things get tricky.
Cosplayers can be particular about what they want to use for cosplay creations. Not to mention, every cosplayer is different and has different tastes (from color to material and everything in between).
For example, you may know that they have an Elsa cosplay in the works, so you get them a wig. But what you don’t realize is that they might be thinking ‘it’s the wrong shade for me’, which makes everything awkward for you both later.
So… where does that leave you this holiday season?
Thankfully, there are a number of things you can get your cosplayer for Christmas that they’ll be overjoyed by. I’ve compiled an ultimate list of gifts for cosplayers just for you. This list avoids items that cosplayers might want to pick out themselves while also showing that you’ve got their back with thoughtful gifts that cater to their hobby.
In short, this list is designed so that:
- You can search by category/specialty
- You don’t have to worry about colors (for the most part)
- There are a variety of price points
- Almost everything has a link to where you can purchase the item or a link to a how-to make the item.
- You can see multiple options for the same type of gift all in one place.
- You know if I (or one of my friends) have used an item and can personally recommend it after using it. These will be marked with a thumbs up!
- (Not to mention, I’ll be pointing out my absolute favorites as a cosplayer! Look for the hearts!
- If anything, all you might need to know about your cosplayer is their clothing/shoe sizes. Look for the shirt to know that sizes or colors might need to be checked.
- And finally, the my top picks for the best gifts for cosplayers will be marked by a star!
Additionally, at the top of each section, I will link to an “Ultimate Supplies for Cosplayers” list for that category that will go into more depth as to why I recommend certain products in particular.
That said, check out this list below, do some sleuthing, and see what of these items might be right for your pink haired pop culture recreating special someone!
Sewing Supplies for Cosplayers (#1-27)
If someone cosplays, they likely know a thing or two about sewing. Instead of getting them fabric though, check out these options. You’ll get much more excited reactions. 😉
1. Gingher Knife-Edge Dressmaker Shears 8″
Gingher is the creme de la creme of sewing scissors. Literally, this is the best. Absolutely a game changer for any seamstress and one of the best gifts for cosplayers.
Amazon – Gingher Knife-Edge Dressmaker Shears 8″
JoAnn – Gingher Knife-Edge Dressmaker Shears 8″
2. Gingher Knife Edge Applique Scissors 6″
Another set of Gingher scissors that make a huge difference for those who sew. These allow seamstresses to eliminate threads more closely than traditional scissors. These are NOT ideal for cutting fabric like the other Gingher shears listed above.
Amazon – Gingher Knife Edge Applique Scissors 6″
JoAnn – Gingher Knife Edge Applique Scissors 6″
3. Singer Adjustable Mannequin
These are WONDERFUL and one of the best gifts for cosplayers. Adjustable mannequins are far more useful than those with only one standard size. This way your cosplayer can adjust their mannequin based on their own size at any time. Plus, most cosplayers I know have not splurged on one for themselves – they splurge on fancy fabrics instead! As a result, they’ll love you for this!!
Amazon – Singer Medium-Large Adjustable Mannequin (Gray)
JoAnn – Singer Small Medium Adjustable Dress Form (Red)
JoAnn – Singer Medium-Large Adjustable Dress Form (Gray)
4. Dritz Bobbin Box
This is my favorite way to store my bobbins. Nothing moves and I can clearly see where all of my different bobbin colors are!
5. Olfa 35″x70″ Gridded Cutting Mats with Clips
Literally one of the best gifts for cosplayers. This mat is a GAME CHANGER!!
Amazon – Olfa 35″x70″ Gridded Cutting Mats with Clips
JoAnn – Olfa 35″x70″ Gridded Cutting Mats with Clips
6. Fiskers Titanium Comfort Stick Rotary Cutter 45mm

Amazon – Fiskers Titanium Comfort Stick Rotary Cutter 45mm
JoAnn – Fiskers Titanium Comfort Stick Rotary Cutter 45mm
7. Fiskars 5pk Straight Rotary Blades 45mm
If your cosplayer has a Rotary Cutter, extra blades are always handy. These blades match the 45 mm Rotary Cutter listed above!
Amazon – Fiskars 5pk Straight Rotary Blades 45mm
JoAnn – Fiskars 5pk Straight Rotary Blades 45mm
8. Interfacing
Hear me out, it literally doesn’t matter what kind of interfacing you get – cosplayers will ALWAYS be in need of interfacing. Get them a couple of yards or a whole bolt – they’ll be thankful regardless! Below are 6 of the most common types of interfacing cosplayers use.
(Hint! If you go in-store for this, look for bolts with a pink label on the top or bottom. Those are the ones cosplayers most commonly use!)
Fusible –
1. JoAnn – Fusible Midweight Interfacing
2. JoAnn – Fusible Featherweight Interfacing in Black
3. JoAnn – Fusible Featherweight Interfacing
4. JoAnn – Fusible Sheerweight Interfacing

5. JoAnn – Sew In Featherweight Interfacing
6. JoAnn – Sew In Apparel Interfacing
9. Muslin Fabric
If your cosplayer likes to design their own patterns for outfits, then they use Muslin. And a LOT of it. Get them a couple yards and they’ll be eternally grateful for it (because if it’s not pretty fabric, cosplayers are not as happy to spend their own money on it – even if they need it!)
JoAnn – Sew Essentials Muslin Fabric 119”
10. Dritz Large Vintage Sewing Basket
The perfect way for your cosplayer to store their sewing supplies!
Amazon – Dritz Large Vintage Sewing Basket
JoAnn – Dritz Large Vintage Sewing Basket
11. Dritz Serger Tweaser
Have you EVER tried to thread a Serger without a Serger Tweaser? It’s miserable. Literally one of my most beloved tools and one of the best gifts for cosplayers (if they have a Serger!)
12. Thread (Essential Colors)
Again, probably surprising, but cosplayers go through A LOT of these 3 essential colors when it comes to thread – Black, White, and Invisible. These are also great for adding to a ‘Cosplay Emergency Repair Pack’ if you’re thinking of combining several items for a very thoughtful gift! (They’ll absolutely feel the love!) By the way, ALWAYS go with Gutermann thread if you can help it. They are the BEST!!
Black and White –

Amazon – Gutermann Creative Nostalgic Box
14. Guttermann Sew All Thread Notebook
Another great option for a box of thread!
JoAnn – Guttermann Sew All Thread Notebook
15. 120 Spool Thread Rack
These are wonderful! Make sure you get one with hooks on the back at the top. This allows your cosplayer to either stand it up on a desk or hang it on a wall!
Amazon – US Art Supply Premium Beechwood 120-Spool Sewing and Embroidery Thread Rack
JoAnn – June Tailor 27″ x 16″ Wood 120 Spool Thread Rack With Legs
16. A Thread Spool Holder
These are great for any seamstress (or any cosplayer) as they help keep the threads from getting tangled when threaded through a machine!
Amazon – Embroidex Adjustable Single Thread Spool Holder
Amazon – Superior Threads Holder Thread Stand
17. 4 Pattern Weights by Dritz
These eliminate so much hassle when it comes to cutting out fabric – especially if they have a cutting mat! The less pins they need to keep patterns down, the faster they can work!
Amazon – 4 Pattern Weights by Dritz
JoAnn – 4 Pattern Weights by Dritz
18. Dritz 120 Long Pearlized Pins
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve beant and destroyed my pins… and I still use them because I don’t want to spend the money on new ones, even though I should. I know other cosplayers are the same way. They’ll laugh when they open them, but they’ll be very grateful and feel the love!
Amazon – Dritz 120 Long Pearlized Pins
JoAnn – Dritz 120 Long Pearlized Pins
19. Sew Your Way Magnetic Sewing Wrist Pin Holder
This is so useful, especially if your cosplayer can’t be bothered to put their pins back in their tomato while working!
Amazon – Sew Your Way Magnetic Sewing Wrist Pin Holder
20. Schmetz Universal Needle Combo Pack (Machine Sewing Needles)
The terror of having your sewing machine’s last needle break at 9 PM when the store closes is dreadful for cosplayers (especially if they’re on a time crunch!) These universal needles by Schmetz are small, but having backups makes a huge difference, especially to the veteran cosplayer!
Amazon – Schmetz Universal Needle Combo Pack
JoAnn – Schmetz Universal Needle Combo Pack
21. Dritz Assorted Hand Needles
There are some things you can only do with hand sewing needles. So cosplayers will get a lot of use out of these.
Amazon – SINGER Assorted Hand Needles in Compact, 25-Count, Assorted
Amazon – Premium Sewing Needles for Hand Sewing Repair
JoAnn – Dritz Assorted Hand Needles, 30 Needles
22. A Seam Ripper
Sometimes you just need to cut something out that gets stuck in something that’s been too tightly sewn together. And the easiest way to do that is to rip open a seam. For that reason, get a Mini Seam Ripper for your Emergency Cosplay Repair Kit.
(Tip! I very much so prefer my Seam Ripper by CanvasWoodworking on Etsy. They are a veteran based small business that creates custom seam rippers. One of the best parts for today’s tutorial? You can take the seam ripper ends off and pop one in your repair kit!)
Etsy (CanvasWoodworking) – Double Seam Ripper w/ Large & Small Blades
Amazon – Dritz Large Ergonomic Soft Grip, 1 Count, Purple Seam Ripper
JoAnn – Dritz Large Erognomic Seam Ripper
23. Flexible LED Light for Sewing Machines
Sewing machines come with lights, but I can’t tell you how useful it is to have a second one that you can adjust to eliminate shadows caused by the sewing machine’s built in light. Super, super useful!
Amazon – Dritz Flexible LED Light for Sewing Machines
JoAnn – Fabany Flexible LED Light for Sewing Machines
24. Dritz Getta Grip Sewing Clips
Cosplayers can be lazy and pinning things takes effort. However, why pin something when you can clip it? These clips are incredibly useful and I love them!
Amazon – Dritz Getta Grip Sewing Clips
JoAnn – Dritz Getta Grip Sewing Clips
25. A Cricut Machine
There is SO much that can be done with a Cricut Machine when it comes to cosplay. From various appliques for fabrics and even cutting things out for props, your cosplayer will absolutely have a use for a Cricut Machine. Check out the Cricut Explore series or their brand new Cricut Maker series.
JoAnn – Cricut Explore Air 2 Blue (Also Available in Mint and Lilac)
Amazon – Cricut Maker 3 & Digital Content Library Bundle
JoAnn – Cricut Maker 3 Ultimate Smart Cutting Machine with Adaptive Tool System
26. Ditto Pattern Projector
One of the newest toys on the market for those who like to sew is the Ditto Pattern Projector. Not only does it allow you to not have to worry about constantly cutting out patterns and pinning them down before cutting out fabric, but it also allows you to create and project your own patterns too.
JoAnn – Ditto Pattern Projector
27. Hatch Embroidery Software
Absolutely, hands down one of the very best gifts for cosplayers! It literally doesn’t matter which level you get – they can upgrade it later if they want to. This software is perfect for cosplayers who want to expand into machine embroidery and making their own digital designs.
**Pass on this though if they do NOT have an Embroidery Machine!!**
That said, you can get this software for creating embroidery designs directly through the manufacturer OR you can go through John Deer Embroidery and I recommend going through John Deer. Going through John Deer allows you to also get freebies included with your purchase, such as tutorials and other lessons on how to use the software.
Final note, Black Friday is ALWAYS the best time to purchase the software – it always goes on a steep discount!

Cosplay Crafting Tools (#28-52)
Cosplayers don’t just sew. They are crafty too. Here are some of the best gifts for cosplayers related to crafting.
28. Official Creality Ender 3 Neo 3D Printer
The art of 3D Printing is a GAME changer for craft that is cosplay. However, many cosplayers have yet to dip their toes into it because of the perceived cost. Lucky for you, the Creality Ender 3 series is actually extremely affordable and it gets even more affordable during Black Friday and Prime Day sales (which is how I got my Ender 3 Neo). Seriously, you’ll be your cosplayer’s favorite person for life with this one – hands down one of the best gifts for cosplayers. Period. 😉
Amazon – Official Creality Ender 3 Neo 3D Printer
29. Comgrow PLA 3D Printer Filament 1.75mm
If your cosplayer has a 3D printer, or if you’re getting them one, they likely will be in need of PLA, the filament used for 3D printing. While sometimes a color is important, most of the time for cosplay, it’s not. Your cosplayer will sand down their prints and likely repaint it with spray paint, so you can feel safe getting any color of pilament. I recommend a gray, white, or black as these are neutral tones and even if they do pop through the spray paint, it won’t be a big deal or too distracting.
Amazon – Comgrow PLA 3D Printer Filament 1.75mm
Amazon – Comgrow PLA 3D Printer Filament 1.75mm (2 Pack)
30. Dremel 4000
Cosplayers can use Dremels for all sorts of things. From making armor and fake weapons to sanding down gems and more, there’s all sorts of uses for Dremels in the cosplay world. I recommend the Dremel 4000 – it’s easy to hold, but still incredibly powerful, which is what cosplayers want! Definitely one of the best gifts for cosplayers!
Amazon – Dremel 4000 (50 Accessories, 6 Attachments, and Case)
Home Depot – Dremel 4000 (50 Accessories, 6 Attachments, and Case)
Lowes – Dremel 4000 (50 Accessories, 6 Attachments, and Case)
31. Dremel Attachments
If your cosplayer already has a Dremel, then they’ll be very appreciative of any of these Dremel Attachment kits. Attachments for Dremels don’t last forever, so if your cosplayer is a heavy user of a Dremel, they’ll love these!
Home Depot – Rotary Tool All-Purpose Accessory Kit (108-Piece)
Home Depot – Dremel Attachments – Rotary Tool Accessory Kit (130-Piece)
32. Rotary Tool WorkStation for Woodworking and Jewelry Making
I love this workstation for my Dremel, and your cosplayer will to. Often times, I find it easier to just hook my Dremel up and rotate my item around it to get the job done, particularly if the item is very small. This workstation will give your cosplayer far more control and increased precision while using their Dremel!
Home Depot – Rotary Tool WorkStation for Woodworking and Jewelry Making
33. Milwaukee Clear Safety Glasses Anti-Scratch Lenses
If your cosplayer uses power tools (or is just starting to), a good pair of safety glasses is a must. I like this pair because I get headaches from any glasses that press too tightly on my temples. These don’t press in on my head too tightly, yet they still remain secure. A great gift for your cosplayer!
Amazon – Milwaukee Clear Safety Glasses Anti-Scratch Lenses
Home Depot – Milwaukee Clear Safety Glasses Anti-Scratch Lenses
34. EnviroTex Lite Pour-On High Gloss Finish (Resin Mix)
There is SO MUCH that cosplayers can do with Resin. But do they like buying the mix for it? No. It’s not pretty (and remember, cosplayers only like spending money on pretty things). But if YOU buy it for them, they’ll love you for it! Check out this Resin, which is my go-to!
Amazon – EnviroTex Lite Pour-On High Gloss Finish
JoAnn – EnviroTex Lite Pour-On High Gloss Finish
Michaels – EnviroTex Lite Pour-On High Gloss Finish
35. Gem Mold Sets
One of the main things cosplayers use Resin for is for creating gems! Trust me when I say that most of these gem molds will be loved by your cosplayer. With so many sizes and shapes, they’ll be able to use these multiple times and get a ton of use out of them! Check out these 3 from Amazon!
1. Amazon – LET’S RESIN 18Pcs Pendulum Crystal Molds for Resin
2. Amazon – 2 Pcs Jewelry Resin Molds
3. Amazon – Cabochon Gem Jewelry Casting Epoxy Silicone Mold
36. Mixol 12 Piece Kit (For Resin Dying)
What good would Resin gems be if they didn’t have some color to them? Mixol is my go to as a cosplayer for Resin Dyes and the best part is, you don’t need all that much to get strong colors. For that reason, both of these sets will absolutely endear your cosplayer to you. They’ll get a lot of use out of them, especially if they use Resin frequently!
Amazon – Mixol Universal Tints 1-12
Amazon – Mixol Universal Tints 13-24
37. Paint Brushes
Cosplayers go through Paint Brushes! Like, so many paint brushes, for so many different uses. For that reason, paint brush sets will always be appreciated by cosplayers.
Michaels – Variety Taklon Brush Super Value Pack by Craft Smart®
Michaels – Super Value 50 Piece Brush Set by Artist’s Loft™ Necessities™
Amazon – Paint Brushes Set for Acrylic Painting, 20 Pcs
38. Deco Art Patent Leather Art Paint
Leather is just one of those things that takes a special kind of paint, which is why I recommend Deco Art Patent Leather Art Paint for that purpose. And yes, cosplayers use this stuff. More than you’d think. Linked below is black, a common color used by cosplayers.
Amazon – Deco Art Patent Leather Art Paint, Black
39. FolkArt 24 Bottle Acrylic Craft Paint Set with 10 Pack of Brushes
Typically, I wouldn’t buy a paint for a cosplayer, BUT I would buy a set, which would allow them to have a bunch of options and be able to mix colors to make the perfect shade for whatever they’re painting. FolkArt is an excellent Acrylic paint brand, so this set with 10 brushes will absolutely get some use by your cosplayer.
Amazon – FolkArt 24 Bottle Acrylic Craft Paint Set with 10 Pack of Brushes
40. Spray Paints (Essentials)
Again, I typically advise to stay away from paints, but I’m making an exception here. Spray Paints, particularly Black, Gold, Silver, and White and very commonly used by cosplayers (I’ve run out more times than I can count and I HATE going back to the store for more). For Black and White, grab matte/flat colors. Gold and Silver can shimmer. Also, primers and sealers and essential as well. Plus, the sealer linked below is a glass. So in the event that your cosplayer doesn’t want a matte/flat black/white color at the end, they can still use the flat/matte ones that you got them and gloss-ify them with the sealer.
1. Amazon – Black – Rust-Oleum Universal Matte Black and Primer
2. Amazon – Gold – Rust-Oleum Gold Rush
3. Amazon – Primer – Rust-Oleum Universal Watercolor Bonding Primer
4. Amazon – Sealant – Rust-Oleum Gloss Clear
5. Amazon – Silver – Rust-Oleum Silver
6. Amazon – White – Rust-Oleum Matte White and Primer
41. E6000
You’d be surprised at how much E6000 cosplayers go through. And the worst part is that once they’re open, they’re open, and they’re going to harden, making them useless after one use. For that reason, get your cosplayer some E6000. Linked below is one big tube of it, but you can also get them in the mini sizes, which in some ways, are even better because they’ll get more use out of a set of them. 😉
42. Hot Glue Sticks
Ah… the Hot Glue Stick… I guarantee you that your cosplayer ALREADY has a hot glue gun which is akin to their comrade in arms. There are two sizes, mini and full size. So if you know which size glue gun your cosplayer has, you can get them sticks, which they will ALWAYS be in need of. They’ll thank you, I promise. 😉
Mini Glue Sticks –
Amazon – Mini Glue Sticks (100 Ct)
JoAnn – Mini Glue Sticks (10 Ct)
Michaels – Mini Glue Sticks (18 Ct)
Full Size Glue Sticks –
Amazon – Full Size Glue Sticks (50 Ct)

Michaels – Full Size Glue Sticks (40 Ct)
Long Full Size Glue Sticks –
Amazon – Long Full Size Glue Sticks
JoAnn – Long Full Size Glue Sticks
Michaels – Long Full Size Glue Sticks
43. Superglue – Loctite Super Glue
Continuing with the glue train here – super glue is another staple in the cosplayer’s supply kit. And like E6000, it dries up fast, so normally you only get one use out of it. I recommend getting your cosplayer Loctite Super Glue (in gel or liquid form). They’ll be surprised, but laugh and thank you for it.
Amazon – Loctite Super Glue (Gel)
Home Depot – Loctite Super Glue (Liquid)
44. 40-Compartment Box with Dividers
Cosplayers often have a ton of little odds and ends around their crafting area, which is why I use these boxes with compartment dividers from the Container Store. I’ve used them for beads, buttons, nails, wires, everything, and I know they’ll be massively helpful for your cosplayer as well.
The Container Store – 40-Compartment Box with Dividers
45. Weller Digital Soldering Station
One of the best gifts for cosplayers. There is so much that can be done with a Soldering Iron and this station by Weller is top notch. Not only does it let you set the temperature, it also comes with a great place to place your soldering iron, even when it’s hot. I highly recommend it.
Amazon – Weller Digital Soldering Station
46. Heat Resistant Large Silicone Soldering Mat
Soldering irons, well, they can get pretty hot. That’s why a silicone mat is a lifesaver for cosplayers using soldering irons. This one will prevent your cosplayer from doing a lot of damage to their tables and they’ll love you for it.
Amazon – Heat Resistant Large Silicone Soldering Mat
47. Weller Soldering Brass Sponge Tip Cleaner with Silicone Holder
Soldering irons, due to the fact that they’re essentially melting everything they touch can have residue on them at the end of use. This tip cleaner will be a wonderful addition to your cosplayer’s home welding/soldering iron station.
Amazon – Weller Soldering Brass Sponge Tip Cleaner with Silicone Holder
48. ShineNow ET Tips for Weller Soldering Tips
These tips pair great with the Weller Digital Soldering Station (#41) listed above. Cosplayers can use these tips for additional precision while using their soldering iron. Please note! It’s important to check that these are compatible with the soldering iron your cosplayer uses/will use!
Amazon – ShineNow ET Tips for Weller Soldering Tips
49. A Great Heat Gun
Continuing with the theme of making things hot! Heat Guns are extremely useful for cosplayers – especially those into making armor! Check out these two Heat Guns, which allow for variable temperatures to be used and set! Definitely one of the best gifts for cosplayers!
Amazon – DIAFIELD 1850W Heat Gun
Amazon – Makita HG6530VK Variable Temperature Heat Gun Kit with LCD Digital Display
Home Depot – Makita 13 Amp Variable Temperature Heat Gun with Case
50. Worbla Finest Art Thermoplastic Sheets – Jumbo
What do cosplayers make armor out of? Well, a lot of things, but Worbla is definitely a big one. The catch? It can be expensive depending on how much you need. For that reason, a sheet (or sheets) of Worbla (especially a Jumbo one!) is definitely of the best gifts for cosplayers. (Just make sure to ask them what they made out of it!) 😉
Amazon – Worbla Finest Art Thermoplastic Sheets – Jumbo
Michaels – Worbla Finest Art Thermoplastic Sheets – Jumbo
51. Assist Board
Assist Board is another material used for Armor building/making by cosplayers. It’s not used as often in America yet, but your cosplayer will definitely get use out of it regardless!
Assist Board by Assist Cosplay
52. Create Room
If you REALLY want to floor your cosplayer with a gift, get them a “Create Room”, a storage box that expands out and can be used by crafters (and sewers) to organize all of their tools.
Cosplay Make Up (#53-92)
Make up is typically a bit more difficult to get someone else. However, there are specific make up items that any cosplayer will find useful. Check them out below!
– General (#53-67)
Here are some general make up items that any cosplayer will adore.
53. Stila Stay All Day® Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner
This liner is a BEAST. Definitely a must have for any cosplayer’s make up kit and one of the best gifts for cosplayers in the make up category!
Amazon – Stila Stay All Day® Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner
Sephora – Stila Stay All Day® Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner
Ulta – Stila Stay All Day® Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner
54. Make Up For Ever Artist Longwear Skin-fusing Contour Powder
Contouring is a key technique for cosplayers looking to change the shape of their face to match a character. Normally, I don’t recommend buying things that require you to match a person’s skin tone with the product, but Make Up For Ever’s Contour Powders only have a range of 5. Just choose a powder that’s one or two steps down from their natural look. Worst case scenario, Sephora will do exchanges!
(Tip! Make sure you’re getting a case for your powder too as this series doesn’t always include them when you purchase them.)
Sephora – Make Up For Ever Artist Longwear Skin-fusing Contour Powder
55. Make Up For Ever Artist Longwear Skin-fusing Powder Highlighter
Another useful powder from Make Up For Ever! I recommend going with the Matte version since it will work on nearly all skin tones, including darker ones.
(Tip! Like the product above, be sure you’re getting a case for your powder too!)
Sephora – Make Up For Ever Artist Longwear Skin-fusing Powder Highlighter
56. Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes
I swear by this stuff. It helps to get rid of those under eye bags and any unwanted shadows in photos. Definitely one of the best gifts for cosplayers!
Sephora – Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes
Ulta – Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes
57. ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr Ultimate Blurring Setting Powder (Translucent Setting Powder)
I love this stuff. It makes my cosplay make up look soft and natural on camera, even if I have a pound of it on! ^^;
Amazon – ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr Ultimate Blurring Setting Powder
Sephora – ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr Ultimate Blurring Setting Powder
58. Airblasters Gaga Professional 252 Colors Ultimate Eye Shadow Palette
This set is a gold mine and definitely one of the best gifts for cosplayers. Cosplayers use eye shadows for all kinds of things, from coloring their brows to creating beautiful looks on their eyes or on their face in general. This palette’s wide range of colors means they can use it across a variety of characters, so cosplayers can get a lot of use out of it!

Amazon – Makeup Vanity Mirror with LED Lights
62. OptiWand Soft Contact Lens Insertion and Removal Tool
Not everyone likes these, but if your cosplayer has ever complained about trying to put contact lens in or to pull them out, they might get a kick out of it – and find it useful!
Amazon – OptiWand Soft Contact Lens Insertion and Removal Tool
63. False Lashes
Does your cosplayer do a lot of doll-eyed looks? Then they will likely love you for getting them false lashes. Try any of these. Some are one time use, some are repeat, and some are magnetic!
Amazon – Ardell False Eyelashes Demi Wispies Black, 1 pack (6 pairs)
Doe – Dream Lash Duo (Magnetic)
Amazon – KISS My Lash But Better – The New Day-to-Day Lash
64. False Lash Glue
Unless the false lashes you get are magnetic, you might be needing some glue. Most lashes come with their own set of lash glue, but having their own separate and reliable glue bottle is incredibly useful, since they could run out! Any lash glue by DUO will be a solid choice!
Amazon – DUO Quick-Set Clear False Strip Lash Adhesive
Sephora- DUO Brush On Adhesive
65. Fake Nails
Not all of us can have perfect nails sadly, especially after all of that crafting! Fake nails are always appreciated by cosplayers for that reason!
1. Amazon – Ardell Nail Addict Artificial Nail Set, Ombre Fade
2. Amazon – KISS 100 Full Cover Fake Nails Manicure Kit, 10 Sizes, 5 Manicures, Medium Length
3. Amazon – KISS 100 Tips False Nail Kit, Curve Overlap Style, Long Length
66. Super Strong Nail Glue For Nail Tips, Acrylic Nails and Press On Nails
Like false lashes, fake nails need glue too (especially since a number of the glues that come with them don’t work very well!) Grab them some super strong nail glue to complete the gift!
Amazon – Super Strong Nail Glue For Nail Tips, Acrylic Nails and Press On Nails
67. Mannish Lips by Assist Cosplay
Cosplayers often need neutral tones for their lip colors when it comes to cosplay and Assist Cosplay has a great line up for both Male and Female characters. Grab ’em quick! They’re a hot selling item!
Apricot Beige (Assist Cosplay)
– Brushes (#68-78)
Make Up Brushes are a key element of any cosplayer’s tool bag. Check out these brushes below as well as some brush care items to boot!
68. Sephora Collection PRO Blush Brush #93
It’s for blush application, but for cosplay, I like to use it for contouring and creating distinct shadows. A fantastic brush and because it’s Sephora, it’s going to last for years!
Sephora – Sephora Collection PRO Blush Brush #93
69. Sephora Collection PRO Foundation Brush #56
The BEST brush I’ve ever used for liquid foundation application. Can’t recommend it enough on this list of best gifts for cosplayers!
Sephora – Sephora Collection PRO Foundation Brush #56
70. Patrick Ta Precision Dual Ended Sculpting Brush
Similar to Brush #93 linked above, this brush is great for heavy sculpting and contoured looks.
Sephora – Patrick Ta Precision Dual Ended Sculpting Brush
71. Sephora Collection PRO Contour Brush #79
Another Countor brush. For typical every day use, I would use this for its intended purpose. For cosplay, I like to use it specifically for highlighting!
Sephora – Sephora Collection PRO Contour Brush #79
72. SHANY Professional Brush Set with Faux Leather Pouch, 32 Count
If your cosplayer only has a few brushes, ignore the top recommendations and go for these. They’ll LOVE you for it. This brush set is my go to, especially when using numerous shades and colors. It pairs well with the Airblasters Gaga Professional 252 Colors Ultimate Eye Shadow Palette (#58 above).
Amazon – SHANY Professional Brush Set with Faux Leather Pouch, 32 Count

Amazon – Luxe Electric Makeup Brush Cleaner with Makeup Brush Cleaner Solution
74. Sephora Collection Deep-Cleaning Brush and Sponge Shampoo
Now while I love the Electric Brush cleaner above, I prefer this deep cleaning shampoo over what comes with it. Really helps my brushes shine after a clean!
Sephora – Sephora Collection Deep-Cleaning Brush and Sponge Shampoo
75. Bobbi Brown Brush Cleaning Spray (for Daily Use)
Brushes are a magnet for dead skin cells. This spray is perfect for a quick daily clean so your cosplayer doesn’t have to wash their brushes every day (because hello, yes, they’ll use their brushes for more than just cosplay!).

– Skin Care (#79-84)
Many cosplayers take skin care seriously! Check out some of the best items for skin care, even for sensitive skin types, below.
79. Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser
I’ve tried NUMEROUS facial cleansers for getting heavy make up off my face after cosplay. This one is BY FAR the most effective and the gentlest one I’ve ever tried. It literally feels like silk and works well on my sensitive skin. I love it so much I wrote an entire review of it on my blog here. Definitely one of the best gifts for cosplayers out there!
Amazon – Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser
Ulta – Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser
80. Soothe Regimen
Like actors, cosplayers rely on their face as a key tool for cosplay. As a result, they need good skin care regimens! This one by Rodan and Fields is a little pricey, but seriously worth it. It keeps my skin smooth and clean and ready to cosplay any day!
Rodan and Fields – Soothe Regimen
81. Hydration Serum
When I really want to treat myself, I get this item from Rodan and Fields. It is the most hydrating formula I’ve ever tried and keeps my skin looking young and dewy – just like an anime character’s!
Rodan and Fields – Hydration Serum
82. Facial Cleansing and Massage Tools
I’m bummed that the facial cleaning and massage tool I use has been discontinued, but that said, they all do essentially the same thing. I like to use mine in tandum with Purity Made Simple when removing my make up. It gets it off quickly and I don’t end up using a bazillion tissues trying to remove my make up. Seriously a very helpful product!

83. Mary Kay® Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
I have been using this for… well over a decade. It’s literally the #1 Make Up Remover out there. Normally I use it in my day to day routine, but for cosplay, I use it to fix minor mess ups while putting on my make up. Not to mention, I like to use it after using Purity to get into the smaller areas of my face (such as around my eyes, like it’s specifically intended for). I wrote a whole review on it for my blog here. Definitely a must have item in any cosplayer’s make up kit and one of the best gifts for cosplayers out there!
(Note! Mary Kay now has a new and improved formula only available on their website. The original is still out of this world though – so either formula should work fine and be very appreciated by your cosplayer!)
Amazon – Mary Kay® Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
Mary Kay – Mary Kay® Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover (New and Improved Formula)
84. Soft Washcloths Quick Drying Face Cloths Reusable Makeup Remover Cloths
This one was recommended to me by another friend of mine who cosplays! She loves these because again, they’re gentle on the face and she isn’t stuck with constantly buying tissue boxes to remove her make up. A definitely helpful item for cosplayers!
Amazon – Soft Washcloths Quick Drying Face Cloths Reusable Makeup Remover Cloths
– Special Effects (#85-92)
Got a cosplayer who’s really into characters with unusual body or facial features. These are must haves for their Special Effects bag!
85. Saracchi Fake Blood
I had to put this at the top of the Special Effects section because it’s JUST THAT GOOD. I love Saracchi and it seriously does not stain. You can check out my review and tests of the product in this blog article here. (Please note, it was written before it was being sold in the US.) Seriously though, it is by far the best fake blood I’ve ever used and you’ll hook your cosplayer for life, especially after they use it during a photoshoot and then clean their cosplays. Absolutely, hands down one of the best gifts for cosplayers on this list!!
Assist Cosplay – Fake Blood Saracchi
86. Lie Crying Gel (Fake Tears)
Water doesn’t stay in place for photos. But these will. Your cosplayer will have a blast with these – especially if they do a lot of dramatic photo shoots! One of the most unique and best gifts for cosplayers out there for sure!
Assist Cosplay – Lie Crying Gel
87. Ben Nye Face and Body Color Palettes
Ben Nye is king when it comes to creme based make up colors for the face and body. Literally, ANY of these palettes will likely tickle your cosplayer’s fancy. Go with something similar to their taste in entertainment and they’ll love it!
Ben Nye – Ben Nye Face and Body Color Palettes
88. Mehron Liquid Latex
Liquid Latex is a staple in special effects make up. Problem is that it dries out stupid fast once opened, so cosplayers are always getting new bottles of it for each use. Get them a couple of small ones if they use it ‘lightly’ or one big bottle if they’re constantly creating big weird skin abrasions and their own prosthetics. They’ll love you for it!
89. Mehron Spirit Gum and Spirit Gum Remover
Spirit Gum is used to attach prosthetics to skin and as such is a massively useful tool for cosplayers (and the Spirit Gum Remover is similarly useful and appreciated). Get the set of the Spirit Gum and the Spirit Gum Remover for the ultimate duo pair of tools for special effects make up.
Amazon – Mehron Makeup Spirit Gum & Remover Combo Kit
Amazon – Mehron Spirit Gum Remover
Mehron – Mehron Spirit Gum Remover
90. Mehron Rigid Collodion
Rigid Collodion is essentially make up to create scarring looks. However, it is also prone to drying once opened (similar to Liquid Latex). As such, an unopened bottle or two is always nice to have on hand for cosplayers.
Amazon – Mehron Rigid Collodion
Mehron – Mehron Rigid Collodion
91. Pros-Aide Cream Adhesive
An alternate adhesive to Spirit Gum is Pros-Aide Cream Adhesive. It excels with attaching non-latex items, which spirit gum sometimes has trouble with.
Amazon – Pros-Aide Cream Adhesive
92. Uni-Solve Adhesive Remover Wipes
Another item to pair with a previously mentioned item. These Adhesive Remover Wipes are great for removing Pros-Aide Cream and are definitely worth getting as a set with it!
Amazon – Uni-Solve Adhesive Remover Wipes
Wig Styling and Care Items for Cosplayers (#93-118)
I bet you can’t unsee where your cosplayer’s store their wigs. (My roommate says it’s the stuff of nightmares). That said, cosplayers CARE about their wigs and are always in need of styling supplies. Here are some of the best wig care and styling products to gift to your cosplayer!
93. Makeup Adhesive Face Cover Glue
Another gem of an item from Assist Cosplay and one of the best gifts for cosplayers, though it might seem odd to recommend to someone not in the cosplay world. Keeping wig hair against your face makes it so the wigs look more natural. Your cosplayer will adore this for that reason, trust me.
Assist Cosplay – Makeup Adhesive Face Cover Glue
94. Kacha Kacha Kun Wig Senyou Hard Spray Original Super Hard Spray (Big Size)
Ok, so this one you have to purchase via Assist Cosplay’s parent company, Assist Wig, which only sells the product on their Japanese website. That said, use Google Chrome to help you translate the page and purchase this item because THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST HAIR SPRAY FOR WIGS that I’ve EVER used. I seriously just can’t recommend it enough, which is why it’s on the list DESPITE the language barrier. Just, just get it. Again, just one of the best gifts for cosplayers out there.
Assist Wig – Kacha Kacha Kun Wig Senyou Hard Spray Original Super Hard Spray (Big Size)
95. Got2b Glued Blasting Freeze Hairspray
If you don’t feel like getting the above Kacha Kacha Hairspray, Got2b is a great runner up. It’s a favorite among many cosplayers out there due to its strong hold.
Amazon – Got2b Glued Blasting Freeze Hairspray
96. 3D Styling Water
I was skeptical of this one at first, but I truly adore it. 3D Styling Water (by Assist Cosplay, so yes, we’re back to the International/English site), is great for styling wigs and creating layers of waves and odd points. Your cosplayer will love this one!
Assist Cosplay – 3D Styling Water
97. Tsun Tsun Chama Super Hard Gel for Tube Type Wig
We’ve got another that I’ll say is on of the best gifts for cosplayers on this list. But that’s because it is. Tsun Tsun is the BEST Hard Gel I’ve ever used for creating those iconic anime spikes when I’ve styled my wigs. It holds up like a total charm. Definitely a great item that your cosplayer will adore.
Assist Cosplay – Tsun Tsun Chama Super Hard Gel for Tube Type Wig
98. Gatsby Spiky Edge Moving Rubber Hair Styling Wax
Before I used Tsun Tsun, my go to was Gatsby Styling Wax for creating spikes in wigs. And TO BE FAIR, I still like to use it, especially for creating texture. A total must have in any cosplayer’s collection of wig styling products.
Amazon – Gatsby Spiky Edge Moving Rubber Hair Styling Wax
99. Hair Cutting and Thinning/Texturizing Scissors/Shears Set
When it comes to styling wigs, a good set of scissors is key. If your cosplayer doesn’t have a set, might I recommend this set of shears and blenders by Equinox? This is what I use and I have found that it hasn’t dulled once since I got them. They’re fantastic and truly one of the best gifts for cosplayers.
Amazon – Equinox Hair Cutting Scissors Set
Equinox – Hair Cutting and Thinning/Texturizing Scissors/Shears Set
100. Wig Heads
This is just… they need them. They’ll always need them. Trust me, your cosplayer will laugh and kiss you if you get them like 5 of these wig heads.
Amazon – Cantor 12″ Styrofoam Wig Head
JoAnn – FloraCraft 10″ White SmoothFoM Female Head
Sally Beauty – Styrofoam Head With Face
101. Wig Pins (T-Pins)
Wig pins, sometimes called T-Pins, are super useful when styling wigs. They held keep the wigs in place on the wig heads, so you can pull at them and they won’t come sliding off while you’re styling them. And honestly, I like to keep them in my wigs to keep them on the head, even during transport and storage. For that reason, your cosplayer can always use more Wig Pins!
Amazon – 150 Wig Pins (T-Pins)
102. DeskTop Clamp
Depending on your cosplayer’s space, this might be a great gift for your cosplayer. This allows your cosplayer to attach a wig head to a table, keeping the wig head in place so it won’t move. Truly a useful little tool!
Amazon – EERYA Wig Mannequin Head Stand
Assist Cosplay – DeskTop Clamp
103. 50-inch Extendable and Lightweight Aluminum Tripod Stand with Phone Clip
If no table is available to your cosplayer, might I recommend you get them this tripod? I’ve recommended other tripods on this list, but those are for other purposes. I like this one specifically because of the handle – it’s perfect to slip a wig head onto and you can adjust it so the handle is standing up right. A great little cosplay hack!
Amazon – 50-inch Extendable and Lightweight Aluminum Tripod Stand with Phone Clip
104. Cut Cloth for Layer (Wig Hair Capturer)
If you get your cosplayer a tripod like the one above or they already have one for styling their wigs, then they’ll love this, which captures wig hair as they cut it off. It does a great job of catching the majority of the wig hair you cut off, minimizing the amount of cleanup. Truly one of the best gifts for cosplayers if I ever saw one.
Assist Cosplay – Cut Cloth for Layer
105. Noverlife Scissors Storage Holder for Hair Salon Stylist
Every cosplayer needs a place to store their wig styling tools. And this box is perfect for just that!
Amazon – Noverlife Scissors Storage Holder for Hair Salon Stylist
106. Goldwheat Scissor Holster Pouch
Have you ever seen a cosplayer style a wig? They’re normally circling the thing like a hawk. They don’t have time to reach for the scissors across the room! This Scissor Holster Pouch is perfect for solving that problem for cosplayers!
Amazon – Goldwheat Scissor Holster Pouch
107. Cosplay Wig Carrying Case
How do you carry a wig? Unless you’re personally holding it, wig transportation can be tricky. That’s why I recommend one of the wig carrying cases below, particularly the one by Arda! Truly one of the best gifts for cosplayers!
Arda Wigs – Collapsible Wig Tote
Assist Cosplay – Cosplay Wig Bag (Waterproof)
108. Metal Wig Clips (For Heavy Wigs)
Wigs can be heavy. That’s why cosplayers sew in these metal wig clips to help keep their wigs onto their heads, which makes them a very useful cosplay gift!
Godiva’s Secret Wigs – Metal Wig Clips (Medium) 1 Dozen
Godiva’s Secret Wigs – 1 Metal Wig Clip
Assist Cosplay – 1 Wig Clip (Black)
109. Wig Keep Clips
Sometimes you just need to clip the wig hair back. This gift will solve that problem for your cosplayer with ease!
Assist Cosplay -Wig Keep Clips
110. Wig Caps
Nearly EVERY COSPLAYER USES THESE. And they wear out, which is why cosplayers are always looking/buying replacements, making them one of the best gifts for cosplayers. I like these because they’re not too tight, but they get the job done.
Amazon – MORGLES Wig Cap, 6pcs
Amazon – FANDAMEI Wig Cap, 4PCS
111. Wig Grip Bands
Another option for keeping wigs in place is using a Wig Grip Band, like the ones here!
112. Wig Holder
If I could, I’d relabel this as a ‘Hair Holder’. This nifty tool helps cosplayers keep their hair from bulging out the back of their head and creating an unseemly bump under their wig. Make sure you get one that matches the appropriate length of your cosplayer’s hair!
Assist Cosplay – Wig Holder Normal Type
Assist Cosplay – Wig Holder Long Hair Type
113. Cosplay Mask Clip Clear
Masks are not as commonly used anymore, but sometimes at large events, it’s still a thing. These clips allow cosplayers to wear masks without messing up their wigs or their make up.
Assist Cosplay – Cosplay Mask Clip Clear
114. Wig Spray
This spray is a general wig care spray that can be sprayed onto wigs after use to keep them in tip top condition. An excellent option on this list of best gifts for cosplayers!
115. Off with Bubbles! Point Resetter
I suggested wig styling products to made spikes in wigs earlier, but now, this product is for the opposite – taking spikes out of wigs. And yes, sometimes cosplayers need to do this to ‘reset’ their wig’s style. A great little hack item for your cosplayer.
Assist Cosplay – Off with Bubbles! Point Resetter
116. Damage Care Spray Sara Sara
Wigs are typically made of synthetic material and can be damaged due to excessive heat exposure. This product helps restore wigs to their original silky, smooth form.
Assist Cosplay – Damage Care Spray Sara Sara
117. Softener for Wigs Silky Rich
When wearing wigs, cosplayers can… well, sweat. And that does get into their wigs. This Softener helps eliminate bacterial and scents from wigs, meaning cosplayers can keep wigs styled longer before having to wash and restyle them – which is a massive time and energy suck that cosplayers hate. For that reason, they’ll love you for this!
Assist Cosplay – Softener for Wigs Silky Rich
118. Color Rings and Wig Swatch Samples
I can’t recommend these enough. On this list of best gifts for cosplayers, if your cosplayer doesn’t have these, they are must buys. Typically, US based cosplayers use Arda and Epic wigs, but Assist Cosplay also has a fantastic selection, which I highly recommend too!
1. Arda Wigs – Color Rings (Classic)
2. Arda Wigs – Color Rings (Silky)
3. Epic Cosplay – Color Ring Original

Photography Items for Cosplayers (#119-132)
More and more cosplayers are getting into the hobby of photography and videography to better show off their cosplays. Below are some very useful items for cosplay photography that make for excellent gifts!
119. Panasonic Lumix G7 Mirrorless Camera with 14-42mm Lens
Most cosplayers hire photographers to take their photos for them. But sometimes it’s nice to just be able to take your own, especially if you’re on a budget crunch. For cosplayers who are new to photography, I recommend getting them the Panasonic Lumix G7. It’s lightweight and produces great results. It’s only draw back is that it struggles a bit in the dark if you’re looking to use a low ISO. But don’t worry, we’ll address that with items later down the line on this list. 😉
Amazon – Panasonic Lumix G7 Mirrorless Camera with 14-42mm Lens
B&H Photo Video Audio – Panasonic Lumix G7 Mirrorless Camera with 14-42mm Lens
120. Camera DSLR Cleaning Kit (Camera Care Kit)
If you have a nice camera, you need to take care of it! That’s where this wonderful Camera DSLR Cleaning and Care kit comes into play.
Amazon – Movo CCD Camera DSLR Cleaning Kit (Camera Care Kit)
121. Benro MeFoto GlobeTrotter Travel Tripod Kit
Perhaps the best tripod on the market, the Benro MeFoto Tripod series is top notch. Great for any cosplayer looking for a way to stand up their camera and keep it steady.
Amazon – Benro Mefoto Globetrotter Aluminium Black
Amazon – MeFOTO Classic Aluminum Backpacker Travel Tripod Kit – Hot Pink
B&H Photo Video Audio – Benro MeFoto GlobeTrotter Aluminum Travel Tripod Kit (Black)
B&H Photo Video Audio – Benro MeFoto GlobeTrotter Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod Kit (Black)
122. Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom Subscription
Whether your cosplayer takes photos themselves or not, they likely would love to be able to manipulate photos on their own in post. An Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom Subscription not only includes the best two and most vital photo editing softwares out there on the market, it’s also a great bargain (particularly compared to other software out there). (And you can get the lowest priced option and be golden too! A total steal!) An absolutely excellent item on our list of best gifts for cosplayers.
Adobe – Photoshop and Lightroom Subscription
123. Portrait Pro by Anthropics
This software isn’t as well known to cosplayers as the two above, but trust me when I say they’ll love it. Portrait Pro really helps define one’s face, recovering details from poor lighting in photos, and recover faces from the ‘flattening’ that happens when photos are taken. (Essentially, it helps shave off those extra 10 pounds the camera adds that were not there in the first place). Not to mention, it’s a one time payment, which is great. (No subscriptions for the win!)
124. A Ring Light Kit
More and more cosplayers are starting to record themselves in cosplay now too from the privacy of their own homes. For that reason, your cosplayer will love either of these ring light kits by Angler. The first two links include a stand perfect for placing the ring light on a desk. (Both of the first two links go to the same product). The third works better if your cosplayer would prefer to stand!
Amazon – Angler 45W Bi-Color LED Ring Light Kit (14″)
B&H Photo Video Audio – Angler 45W Bi-Color LED Ring Light Kit (14″)
B&H Photo Video Audio – Angler Bi-Color Ring Light Kit with Light Stand (18″)
125. Benro Tabletop Tripod & Selfie Stick for Smartphones
You thought I’d forget to recommend a selfie stick? Not a chance – it’s one of the best gifts for cosplayers! I’ve tried a few selfie sticks and this one is by far the best out there. Definitely try this one out by Benro! Plus, it doubles as a way to hold your phone during meetings or zoom calls! An item for both cosplay and work? What are the odds?! O.O
Amazon – Benro Tabletop Tripod & Selfie Stick for Smartphones
B&H Photo Video Audio – Benro Tabletop Tripod & Selfie Stick for Smartphones
126. Neewer 5-in-1 Collapsible Light Reflector (43″)
In photography, you’re lucky if you get two light sources. That’s where reflectors come into play. Photographers use these to reflect light from one light source to create another. It’s a critical item for cosplay photography.
Amazon – Neewer 5-in-1 Collapsible Light Reflector (43″)
B&H Photo Video Audio – Neewer 5-in-1 Collapsible Light Reflector (43″)
127. Softbox Lighting Portrait Kit
For more “Pro” shots of cosplay, photographers like to use Softbox Lights, particularly if they’re not moving around a bunch. This set of lights is wonderful because of the case, the weight, and affordability.
Amazon – StudioFX Digital Photography Continuous Softbox Lighting Studio Video Portrait Kit
128. Portable Power Station (for lights and fog!)
The one issue with softboxes is that they need power. And if you’re outdoors, you might not have that. This portable power station is a great solution for that. It’s also great for powering fog machines. Just make sure it’s compatible with the wattage of the softboxes/fog machines in use.
Amazon – GRECELL 999Wh Solar Generator 1000W
129. Godox LC500R RGB LED Light Stick (24″)
Light Sticks (sometimes called Light Wands) are one of the ‘cool’ tools photographers use to get some really cool effects. They’re also a great solution when softboxes are not feasible. For that reason, your cosplayer will love this Godox Light Stick, with muliple colors and light intensities to choose from. An ideal gift on this list of best gifts for cosplayers.
Amazon – Godox LC500R RGB LED Light Stick (24″)
B&H Photo Video Audio – Godox LC500R RGB LED Light Stick (24″)
130. Smoke Machine
There are so many uses for smoke/fog machines in photography that I’d be here all day if I had to list them all. Your cosplayer’s photos will definitely be amped up by this one and they’ll love you for it!
Amazon – Smoke/Fog Machine with 13 Colorful LED Lights Effect
131. Portable Fog Machine
Again, fog machines do require outlets and if you’re not near those, that can be a problem when taking cosplay photos. An alternate to the above option then is a Portable Fog Machine like the two below!
Amazon – LENSGO Fog Machine with Remote Control (Portable Hand-Held)
B&H Photo Video Audio – SmokeGENIE Handheld Fog and Haze Machine Starter Kit
132. Private Photoshoot Session
This one will take some work on your part, but one of the best gifts for cosplayers is a private photoshoot session, particularly if you can get it with one of their favorite photographers. Do some snooping around and if you’re able to pre-purchase a private photoshoot session, either at an event your cosplayer is going to OR on location, they will hug you till your eyes bulge out. Not having any luck? Check out these two photographers I featured in my Featured Artist Spotlight series!

Cosplay Accessories (#133-137)
There’s not a whole lot of items that cosplayers can ‘re-use’ or get multiple uses out of when it comes to cosplay, but there are some accessories that they can get a lot of use out of. Check them out for gift ideas below!
133. Chest Binder Tank Tops
Crossplay (Crossdressing + Cosplay) is very common among cosplayers and as a result, many cosplayers with breasts will ‘bind’ them to pull off male characters. It’s important to do this safely though. Using Ace Bandaging for example can be incredibly dangerous as it’s literally meant to tighten up and restrict with movement. As a result, you’re literally compressing your chest with every breath. That’s why specialized Chest Binders are ideal to use, like the ones below. Please note, there are studies that say they should not be worn every day. Additionally, the Assist Cosplay binders really only work for very thin frames. So make sure you’re getting an appropriate size and make sure your cosplayer knows how to best use them. 🙂
Amazon – Breathable Cotton Elastic Band Colors Chest Binder Tank Top
Amazon – XUJI Zip Up Breathable Half Chest Binder
Assist Cosplay – ★Assist original★ Makipeta wide type free size
Assist Cosplay – Bust holder for men Makipeta
134. Reusable Transparent/Clear Plastic Face Mask
Again, masking is a bit of a thing of the past now, but some events still require masks. These transparent masks are great for cosplayers because they can use them with multiple outfits at events that require masks. Not to mention, they allow people to see all of that awesome make up work they’ve done!
Amazon – X-FADED Reusable Transparent/Clear Plastic Face Mask
135. Shoe Lifts – Heel Height Insoles
I’ll share a secret with you – not everyone is super tall! But sometimes characters are. Instead of a surgical route, these Heel Height insoles are perfect for cosplayers to give themselves an extra bit of height. This makes them an excellent gift choice and one of the best gifts for cosplayers.
Amazon – Shoe Lifts Heel Height Insoles
Assist Cosplay – 3 Step Insole
Assist Cosplay – Transparent insoles
136. Clear Sandals
Every now and then, a cosplayer will dress as a character that walks around barefoot. But you can’t always be barefoot at events and conventions. For that reason, clear sandals are a great option to use for those times. Find out what your cosplayer’s shoe size is and find shoes below to help them navigate those event regulations while still looking accurate to the character they’re portraying!
1. Amazon – DREAM PAIRS Women’s Two Strap Open Toe Low Block Heel Sandals
2. Amazon – LAICIGO Women Clear Sandals
3. Amazon – Cape Robbin Mariah Sandals
4. Assist Cosplay – Clear Sandals
137. Nipple Covers
Yep, it’s uncomfortable, but sometimes needed. And the thing is, after awhile, the stick on these covers tends to go away, which is why cosplayers can always use new ones. Check out the two below, the second of which has multiple skin tones! ^_^
Amazon – Nunibum 6 Pairs Nipple Covers Silicone Pasties

Travel/Storage Items for Cosplayers (#138-143)
Cosplayers care about their costumes and they want to keep them in pristine condition – whether that’s in a closet or on the go. For this reason, they’ll love any of these gifts that will show that you respect that they care for their creations.
138. Garment Bags
Cosplayers put SO MUCH time into making their outfits, which is why one of the best gifts for cosplayers is garment bags that they can use to protect their cosplays with! The best garment bags are long, have pockets, and can be used for transit purposes, like the first four options linked below. But cosplayers are also just as happy to just get multiple ones that are lightweight and can protect their cosplays from dust. So if you were to get a pack of garment bags from the fifth and last link, I’m sure they’d be just as delighted with those as well!

139. Assembled Wig Storage Backpack
I know that you’re thinking ‘Wait, didn’t you already suggest this in the wig section?’ Sort of. But this wig storage backpack also includes a compartment for shoes. It’s just downright cool, one of the best gifts for cosplayers, and I can’t wait to use it one day when going through airport security. XD
Assist Cosplay – Assembled Wig Storage Backpack
140. Cosplay Guitar Case (carrying case for long items)
This is one I just find funny while being brilliant at the same time. If you’re really trying to not draw attention to yourself, this case designed for carrying cosplay items while appearing to be shapped like a guitar is just perfect.
Assist Cosplay – Cosplay Guitar Case
141. Versatile Storage Bag for Long Items
Maybe your cosplayer doesn’t care about being conspecuous. In that case, you can get them this versatile storage bag for their longer props!
Assist Cosplay – Versatile Storage Bag for Long Items
142. Closet for Carry Case (Suitcase Hanging Insert)
Packing for a convention is a pain, particularly when you’re trying to keep everything for each cosplay together and organized. This insert is an excellent tool for cosplayers and it can be hung easily in closets upon arrival, creating a shelf for all of their accessories, props, and make up items.
Assist Cosplay – Closet for Carry Case
143. Stackers Hanging Toiletry Organizer
Similar to the above, these toiletry organizers are great for carrying make up and other skin care products to conventions and events. An ideal gift on this list of best gifts for cosplayers.
Amazon – BAGSMART Toiletry Bag Travel Bag with Hanging Hook
The Container Store – Stackers Hanging Toiletry Organizer
Useful Convention Items for Cosplayers (#144-149)
I bet you know the name of the next convention or event your cosplayer is going to. If so, ANY of these will be great gifts for your cosplayer as they are super useful at any cosplay related event.
144. USAGA 28 Fingers Head Massager
Have you EVER worn a wig all day? If so, you’ll know that it can make your scalp feel all sorts of out of whack. This massager is literally my favorite thing to use after taking off a wig. I legit melt into a puddle while using it. Hands down one of the best gifts for cosplayers.
Amazon – USAGA 28 Fingers (3rd Generation) Head Massager
145. A Portable Cosplay Emergency Repair Kit
Cosplayers unfortunately can’t bring their entire work area and tools with them to a convention or an event. But they can bring a portable cosplay emergency kit. Check out my blog on how to create your very own Cosplay Emergency Repair Kit below!
SkywingKnights – How to Make the Perfect Portable Cosplay Emergency Repair Kit
146. Kintion Pocket Mirror
While most people have their phones and can use the camera feature to check their make up, sometimes it’s just nice to use a mirror instead. So don’t hesitate to get your cosplayer their very own pocket mirror, like this one with built in lights! (Phones can’t do that!)

147. Portable Charger Power Bank
Cosplayers are using their phones ALL the time at events. And if their phones are a bit old, that means the battery could die. Portable Charger Power Banks are an excellent solution as no wall outlet is needed! They can just plug in and go. My favorite is the Portable Charger Power Bank linked below, but the BONAI Portable Charger is another solid choice.

148. Mini Tissue Holder with Tissues
Random but, this is honestly a life-saver to have at conventions. Whether you’re sweating or have a runny nose or your eyes are tearing up, having tissues on hand is incredibly useful for cosplayers.

149. Reusable Lint Rollers
You’d be surprised by how much fuzz can get on a cosplay. I like to carry around these at cons and at events as they 1. Don’t require refills, 2. Are not going to pull at the fabric as much as normal ones, and 3. Can be washed under a bathroom sink to get them clean just like that!

Cosplay Books (#150-151)
Cosplay ‘books’ are not particularly relevant for cosplayers. If they need to know how to do something, that’s what Google is for. That said, here are two books that I find to still be very relevant and great ‘foundational’ books for those interested in creating art with their cosplay.
150. Secrets of Cosplay
I’m frankly surprised that you can only get this book second hand now. It features a number of well-known cosplayers and details out a lot of fundamental tricks for cosplay and cosplay photography. Absolutely a great gift on this list of best gifts for cosplayers.
151. How To Cosplay Volume 1 Transformation and Special – Effects Make-up
I don’t know what it is about this book, but it’s a keeper. It gives a great intro and basis for understanding special effects make up and what you can do with it. Additionally, it lays out how different eye make up styles and contours can help give off certain aesthetics, which can be incredibly helpful, even to the veteran cosplayer (for when they might get stuck on figuring out how they want to create a look).

Gift Cards for Cosplayers (#152-165)
Want to go the easiest route of all?!? I don’t blame you if you do. 😉 Here are the best gift cards you can get for a cosplayer!
152. JoAnn Gift Cards
A classic choice for cosplayers at the holidays! After all, we’re always in need of fabric.
153. Mood Gift Cards
Want to step up your game? Mood Gift Cards grant cosplayers access to premium fabrics from iconic store featured in “Project Runway.”
154. Arda Wigs Gift Cards
Arda is a favorite wig shop for many cosplayers. Check out their wig prices and determine an appropriate amount based on those for optimal cosplay happiness. ^_^

155. Epic Cosplay Gift Cards
Another favorite wig store of cosplayers with gift cards is Epic Cosplay. Just like with Arda, use the general price of wigs as a guideline for setting the amount on the cards you purchase!

156. Michael’s Gift Cards
Crafting galore is here! If your cosplayer has a local Michael’s, this is an AWESOME gift card to give.

157. Hobby Lobby Gift Cards
No matter how you feel about Hobby Lobby, it might be a cosplayer’s primary place to pick up crafting supplies. Give the gift of crafting, you know? 😉

158. Sephora Gift Cards
I’m a Sephora girl at heart, which is why I had to recommend Sephora Gift Cards. It’s where I find all of my best make up for cosplay! (Just make sure there’s a Sephora close to your cosplayer!)

159. Ulta Beauty Gift Cards
While I’m a Sephora girl, my roommate is an Ulta girl. So I can confidently recommend Ulta gift cards as they also have a great selection of make up items, including more affordable brands that can be used for cosplay at their stores. Just again, make sure there’s one near your cosplayer!

160. Home Depot Gift Cards
If your cosplayer uses power tools, a card to their local hardware store is a must. Just make sure if you get a Home Depot card that there’s one near them!

161. Lowe’s Gift Cards
If there’s no Home Depot isn’t close to your cosplayer, I’m willing to bet there’s a Lowe’s! Another helpful gift card for those unique power tool related projects.
162. Harbor Freight Gift Cards
Alright, final home improvement store on this list in the gift cards section. If all else fails, Harbor Freight will be your cosplayer’s friend!

163. moo Gift Cards
One way cosplayers like to exchange information is via business cards. (You didn’t think we were that legit, did you? 😉 ) moo is by far the most economical business card printing service out there and your cosplayer will love you for this gift card as a result.
164. Dry Cleaning Gift Cards
Cosplayers care about their cosplay costumes. So yes, we take them to the dry cleaners and yes, it costs a small fortune. Find out what your cosplayer’s preferred dry cleaner is or look up reputable dry cleaners in their area and snag them a gift card or gift certificate to get them one of the best gifts for cosplayers hands down.
165. Massage Gift Cards
The final item on our list is truly, without a doubt, the BEST kind of gift card you can get your cosplayer. Cosplayers put their bodies through a lot when they cosplay. So a gift card for a massage at a local salon is one of the best gifts for cosplayers that you can get. They will tackle you with joy, trust me. At least, after they get all of those knots worked out!
Wow!! That’s everything for this year! Let me know in the comments if you’ve used any of these items, bought them as gifts, or have any other items you think should be on there!
Thank you all and I hope this has helped you find that perfect gift for that special cosplayer in your life!
Much love,
~Skywing
