Katsucon 2022 Recap

Sooo… who else is recovering from a crazy but super awesome Katsucon 2022? I can tell you right now I’m still playing catch up. It probably doesn’t help that I’ve been staying up late being addicted to playing “Breath of the Wild” recently, but eh, I’ll survive (hopefully; if the Lynels don’t kill me!).

My odd and random desires for 100% completion of “Breath of the Wild” aside though, I hope everyone also had an excellent Katsucon 2022 if you were able to attend. It was so nice seeing so many faces again and seeing everyone being able to indulge in the things they love while sharing it with other people. Additionally, I want to thank everyone who came to my panel “Travel to Japan on YOUR Budget”! You all floored me with your interest and YOU guys were the ones that made it as successful as it was. So really, thank you, thank you so very much! (本当にありがとうございます！)

While I have done public speaking in the past, this was the first panel I’ve ever done at a convention. So honestly, I was rather nervous! Pretty much the whole weekend for me was somehow getting into costumes and then walking around the convention center just drilling myself on all of the points I wanted to make sure I hit during the panel.

My thinking was that if I was going to do this, I wanted to do this right! And doing it right to me meant making sure I was able to include all of the helpful tips I’ve gleaned over the years when it comes to going to Japan. After all, Japan to me truly is a special place, filled with many wonderful, kind people and some of the many beauties of the world. And I wanted to share as much of that as I could with all of you!

So again, if you attended, thank you so much for coming. I hope I was able to help you out as you prepped for your journey to the land of the rising sun! And if this is your first time on my website, welcome!

I’m unfortunately still in the process of ‘catching up’ with life post-convention. Cleaning, editing photos, writing emails, etc. So I appreciate your patience as I work to get through all of those! Additionally, SkywingKnights will be undergoing a revamp in terms of structure shortly. So I appreciate your patience with the limited posts during this time frame.
