Not to mention, meeting people for the first time for photo shoots was a delight in general. So I had to bring this giveaway back!

There will be one grand prize given away this year – that of a free photo shoot with Skywing Knights (me!), and you will be able to enter via the social media platform Instagram.

So how will the Otakon 2025 Giveaway work?

Here’s a brief synopsis of how to enter. How to Enter

From now until August 6th at 11:59 PM, if you follow me on my Instagram and like the pinned post announcing the giveaway, you will be automatically entered to win a private photo shoot with me on August 10th at Otakon 2025!
In the event that you already follow me on Instagram, you will not automatically be entered to win. Instead, you must like the pinned post on my Instagram profile announcing the Giveaway in order to enter. This gives everyone a fair shot to win by participating. Additionally, it makes it so that those who already follow my Instagram who will not be attending Otakon 2025 do not automatically get entered into a giveaway that they won’t be present for to receive.
Once you follow me on Instagram and Like the pinned post on my Instagram, you can double your chances of winning by sharing the original post announcing the Giveaway AND tagging a friend when you do. Please note that sharing the pinned post multiple times will not provide you with multiple additional chances of winning a prize – only one per person! Also, sharing the post without following/liking/tagging my IG account will not net you any entries. (Additional entries are only awarded to those who follow my Instagram account and like the pinned post.)

Caveats

Liking the story posts announcing the giveaways is appreciated, but it will not increase your chances of winning. This is to keep it so that everyone at max can only get at most 2 chances to win.
In order to remain entered, you must be following SkywingKnights on Instagram by the end of the giveaway. This is because there is no way to accurately track those who unfollow my Instagram account. Thus those who unfollow / unlike during the course of the giveaway can not and will not be entered into the final drawing.
If you have previously won one of my past giveaways, unfortunately, you will not be eligible to enter this giveaway.
Winners (and the selected model, if the winner wishes to designate another to be the subject of the shoot), must sign a contract and accompanying model release agreements. Otherwise, the winner forfeits their prize.
The usual restrictions on the types of photography I will do continue to apply, ie. No sexual content, vulgarity, or crudeness. See my photography services page for details.

Winner Selection Process

At the end of the entry period, 1 winner will be randomly selected and privately messaged via Instagram that they won alerting them to their win! To ensure equal chances for all, we will be using a computer program to select the winners. Additionally, you must have your settings set on Instagram so that your account will accept private messages. Otherwise, we will have no way of contacting you and you will automatically forfeit your prize.
To receive your prize, you MUST be attending Otakon 2025 and you must be able to schedule a time for the shoot before 6 PM on the 10th of August, 2025.
If you do NOT claim your prize by the time specified in your message via a reply or fail to show up to receive your prize, you forfeit your claim and a new winner will be selected.

FAQ

Is this giveaway associated with Otakon? Can I reach out to Otakon if I have questions?

NO, this giveaway is strictly only associated with Skywing Knights. Please DO NOT reach out to Otakon and bother them with questions. They will NOT know the answers or know what you are talking about (and they have enough on their plate).

Do I have to attend Otakon 2025 to win?

Yes. This giveaway is specifically designed for Otakon attendees thanks to Otakon having me host 2 panels. It is also when and where the photo shoot will take place.

Where can I get tickets for Otakon?

You can get admission to Otakon on their website here: https://www.otakon.com

What day and time will the photo shoot be?

The photo shoot will take place on August 10th. The time of the shoot is mostly flexible to meet your schedule. It can be between 12 Noon and 1 PM or after 2 PM.

Where will the photo shoot take place?

The photo shoot will take place in public areas of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center or the connecting Marriott Hotel. No hotel rooms.

Can I extend the time of my shoot at all?

Yes, but that will require you to purchase an additional package from Skywing Knights, which you can find more information on here.

Can I get more photos than that are specified in the giveaway?

Yes, but those you will need to purchase.

Can I pay to add someone to my shoot if I win?

No.

How do I get my prize if I win?

You must meet with SkywingKnights at the appointed time and designated public location within your message (this will be in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center). You must be physically present and be able to show your profile on Instagram via which you won along with your badge for Otakon 2025 to confirm who you are.

What if I’m running late to the photo shoot?

Please message Skywing Knights to alert us to your delay. We can grant a 30 min delay max. Otherwise, you forfeit your prize.

What if I win but can’t be there on the 10th? Can I do the photo shoot at another time or on another date?

No, the photo shoot can only happen on August 10th at Otakon 2025.
