It’s December!!!!

A wonderful, as some would say, “magical” time of year. But perhaps a better term would be “miraculous”. Because of the thousands of miracles that occur during this time of year. What miracles am I talking about? I’m referring to the miracles of kindness and selflessness are extended by strangers to strangers. Those from the estranged to the bitter, and from the downtrodden to the weary, bringing love, forgiveness, and hope back into the lives of so many.

Today, I’m here to encourage you all to take part in these miracles and participate in the Light the World movement, an open invitation from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to each week help others in a new and different way during the Christmas season.

#LightTheWorld Today

While Christmas is often a time when we rush around, shopping, decorating, and attempting to arrange our schedules to fit everything in during this time of year, this invitation offers all of us a wonderful chance step back and remember the true reason for our celebration – the wonderful gift that was the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who makes it possible for all of us to be better, become better, live each day with joy in our hearts, and be with our families and loved ones for time and all eternity. What better way to express our love and appreciation for Him than to “#LightTheWorld” with kindness? Let us do as He would have done.
