It’s time to grab your fleece blankets and pumpkin spice delights! Because today I’m pleased to bring you the latest in this series of Featured Artist Spotlights. And it’s an artist that brings, in her own words “dark and moody” to life with her art. In short, a perfect artist whose work we can look into as schools go back into session and fall’s moody and spooky season rolls in – Wanderlust Photography!
For the month of January 2021, the featured artist of the month is Marie Kondo! Born in Tokyo, Japan, Marie Kondo is a professional organizing consultant, sometimes known as “KonMari”. With 4 books under her belt, with most translated into 30+ languages, Marie specializes in turning places of clutter into tidy spaces. Her most popular book is titled “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up”.
Because May 24th, 2020 was a milestone in this particular artists’ life, the month of May’s featured artist spotlight this year is the “King” himself, Matsushita Yuya (松下優也). This year, 12 years after his first debut, Yuya Matsushita turned 30 last Sunday – which is hard to believe considering how long I’ve been a fan of his! So let me tell you why. 😉
For the month of April’s Featured Artist Spotlight, I wanted to feature one of my favorite painters – Greg Olsen, a painter known around the world for his beautiful depictions of Jesus Christ and American landscapes.
Running on the theme of all of the beauty that can be captured outdoors, this month’s Featured Artist Spotlight is a photographer who excels at landscape photography, Jeff Storck of “Theoretical Photos”!
This month’s featured artist is one who excels in bringing out the beauty seen in those wonderful seasons – InstantMiso, creator of “Where Tangents Meet” and “Siren’s Lament” on WEBTOON!
I’m super excited to bring you for our next featured artist of the month, a very talented and fun (and super sweet) cosplayer – RaiinFaiiry! A cosplayer of 7 years, RaiinFaiiry has done a wide range of cosplays, from the super sweet Sakura from various CLAMP series to Jack Frost of “Rise of the Guardians”, and isn’t afraid to express herself through her cosplays.
I am very excited about this month’s Featured Artist because today, we’re diving back into the world of talented Seiyu (声優 ), or Japanese Voice Actors, to spotlight Daisuke Ono (小野 大輔)!
