Post-Katsucon 2026 Wrap Up

The 2026 Convention season has just begun! And already it’s been insane, but in a very good way. As usual, this year I started my convention run with Katsucon 2026!
My Katsucon 2026 Events
Katsucon 2026 was packed for me as usual. This year I debuted a new workshop “Japanese 101: Travel Edition” and brought back an all time favorite “The Ultimate Japan Bucket List”.
In particular, the workshop “Japanese 101: Travel Edition” was such a huge group effort and I can’t thank my friends enough for joining in and helping me on this event. It literally took 7 of us! Based on my experience as a teacher in Japan, this workshop focused on helping individuals learn Japanese language that would be useful for travelers in Japan. We used the same methods to practice the language as the Japanese do when studying other languages like English. I loved being able to share my knowledge of Japanese with others especially too. It felt a bit like I was stepping into my Japanese professor’s shoes – shoes that I could never truly fill – but if she saw me, I’d hope that she’d be proud of me!
“The Ultimate Japan Bucket List” was also just as fun as ever. I love being able to share my knowledge of Japan’s richness in history, experiences, food, nature, and modern art. Additionally, I was very happy that my co-panelist Shelby was finally able to speak more on Japan too, having finally traveled there for the first time back in October 2025. We also hosted a Giveaway during the panel too and were able to give away 4 prizes! To all who won, I hope you enjoyed your prizes!
As always, I can’t thank everyone who came to these events enough. We keep coming back to Katsucon every year because of you guys! And each time, I figure out ways to make my panels (and now workshop) better – all because of you!
Photo Sessions at Katsucon 2026
I was floored by the amount of interest there was this year in my photography services at Katsucon 2026! (Also, I was just as floored with our luck in finding free places to take photos this year too!) This year, I did 10 shoots in total as the photographer. Here are some of my favorites!

Katsucon 2026 Giveaway Photo Shoot

Katsucon 2026 Cosplays
You didn’t think I wasn’t going to mention my own cosplays this time around, did you? While I didn’t do any “Heavy” cosplays, I did end up cosplaying as Rei Todoroki (a classic at this point now for me), Shoto Todoroki (Punk/Plaid), and King Tobio Kageyama (a new one for me!) Rei was a delight to cosplay as always – but it was even more fun this year because I went to a Todoroki family dinner with crowentity233 as Dabi, everest.cosplay as Shoto, and lydia_cosplay95 as Endeavor!
(Talk about an awkward dinner – but not really because we were all fangirling inside!)
I also did two shoots that I was actually in – for once! I say “For once” even though I have been doing shoots… it just feels like it’s been awhile. But just look. Look at how amazing my photographers lazykcos and rainbowcolouredshoes make me look! Gah, I love them so much! (Click on the photos to see more!)
I also very briefly was able to make it to the My Hero Academia public meet up this year. I wish I could have stayed longer, but my panel was right after it and I had to prepare! That said, everyone I saw there looked amazing!! And I loved seeing you all as I ran through out the halls!
Post Katsucon 2026 Notes
As always, Katsucon 2026 was so much fun. I’m still figuring out the rest of my 2026 con schedule, so we’ll see how the year goes. But I hope to see many of you again through out the year!
