Musicals in Japan are the best. Yeah, I said it. I LOVE musicals in Japan. And that’s why today I want to tell you about my absolute, favorite, best Japanese musical experience. That of the time I went to see “Kuroshitsuji: Chi ni Moeru Rikorisu” (“Black Butler: Lycoris that Blazes the Earth”), the third musical adaptation of the manga “Black Butler” by Yana Toboso.
I was recently interviewed by Connected Television Show for my cosplay work! As such, I’m super happy to be able to share with you all the interview itself here!
A long time ago, I was a gaijin (外人), or foreigner there. I was fresh off the boat in Japan with a tiny studio apartment. I didn’t even have a phone at the time. None the less, I was determined to experience EVERYTHING I could in this country. And I learned early on to ALWAYS GO FOR IT when in the land of the rising sun. Trust me, it’s worth the risk. 😉
Has it really been almost 2 months since the Katsucon 2020? Boy time flies! In any case, here’s a rather late recap of the even! I waited though to post because I wanted to have some photos of both my cosplays as well as photos I took of others to share with you before I posted. So let’s get right into it!
I am very excited about this month’s Featured Artist because today, we’re diving back into the world of talented Seiyu (声優 ), or Japanese Voice Actors, to spotlight Daisuke Ono (小野 大輔)!
What’s up US Anime fans! We got ourselves a treat this month in the form of the US release of “Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic” on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Titanic+Zombies anyone?
I have less than 1 month till Japan travels! This time around, I’ll be spending time in Hiroshima, Kyoto, Matsumoto, Saitama, Tochigi, and Tokyo while there and will be taking plenty of pictures and notes for future posts here. But most of all, I’m excited to return to see my old home!
So a bit last minute, but I’ll be going to Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo – 2018 (C2E2) tomorrow! Still not even sure what cosplay I’ll be wearing – likely something from “Attack on Titan” or “Black Butler” though and I know I’ll be with a fem-Doctor Who (#11).
